January 14, 1971 at the site , for construction of the plant was taken out the first bucket of the earth. First production facilities were put into operation in 1974, and in January 1975 was made ​​the first transfer machines for the Altai plant " Altayselmash ."

By order of the State Committee on Property of the Republic of Belarus of 29.10.2010 , № 425 Republican Unitary Production Enterprise "Baranovitchi Automatic Lines Plant " ( RUPP " BZAL ") is transformed into an open joint-stock company "Baranovitchi Automatic Lines Plant " OJSC (" BZAL ").

The total area of the main building of the plant is 111.5 thousand square meters. meters. The plant 1,044 units of process equipment, including 901 units of metal-cutting equipment. In our projects, we use different types of elements of control systems, hydraulic , pneumatic, including imports , as well as high-precision linear guide bearings , ball screws , precision spindle assemblies and other machine tool elements and original design that allows the complex to ensure high requirements for performance, reliability, and accuracy.

Available engineering developments and information support have enabled the design and manufacture of flexible readjusted equipment such as " specialized machining center ", which combine the advantages of both special purpose machines and machining centers for general use.

Besides manufacturing aggregate and special machines we carry out modernization and overhaul of cutting equipment . For the needs of locomotive and wagon depot manufactured and delivered more than 600 items of optional equipment (stands , tools for disassembly- assembly of products , transportation systems , etc.).

The plant has mastered the work of deep modernization and overhaul of machine tools for turning railway wheel sets manufactured by Polish company " Rafamet ." The essence of the modernization consists in replacing the brake calipers and the machine control system. The upgrade is simplified kinematic scheme with the elimination of many mechanical gears that could cause failure . The use of modern variable speed drives f. «Siemens», virtually maintenance-free , also greatly improves the reliability of the machine.
